The Local Government Authorised Persons' Association (APA) in partnership with the Dog and Cat Management Board, KelledyJones Lawyers and Norman Waterhouse Lawyers are proud to present the 2017 APA Professional Development Seminar at the Adelaide Zoo on Thursday 25th & Friday 26th May 2017.
One of the highlights of the seminar is the Authorised Persons' Association Annual Awards that will be presented at the seminar dinner at the Adelaide Zoo on the evening of the 25 May 2017. Pre-dinner drinks commence at 6pm, with dinner commencing at 7pm.
The awards to be presented are: South Australian Animal Management Officer of the Year New Regulatory Services Officer's Award Excellence in Regulatory Services
The relevant information and nomination form can be found here. Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 12 May 2017. Please make the effort to nominate an officer of team from your Council for an award, there are some great prizes on offer.
Importantly, many of our previous State winners of the Animal Management Officer of the Year award have gone on to win the National award, which is great promotion for Local Government in South Australia.
In addition, we are seeking interest from Councils within South Australia to provide a short presentation of successes or initiatives achieved in recent times relating to any aspect of Regulatory Services/General Inspectorate area.
It is hoped that these ideas can be shared among the 120+ attendees via a short 15 minute presentation to provide new ideas for those within Local Government, from the successes of other Councils. If you or your Council has introduced a new idea, program or initiative which has in some way assisted in achieving the desired outcome, we want to hear from you. Please email brenton.thomass@portenf.sa.gov.au to register your intested where we can allocate a 15 minute session within the two day seminar to share your ideas.
