The APA Professional Development Seminar - 7th, 8th & 9th August 2024
Registrations close Friday 2/8/2024 - Register now to secure your spot
This year is shaping up to be another exciting conference and our official program is out today with an exclusive Animal Facility Tour!!
The 2024 Local Government Authorised Persons Conference returns to the Stamford Grand Glenelg and is designed to bring together professionals who are entrusted with authority, decision-making, or responsibility within their respective fields. This conference serves as a platform for our members to network, share insights, and collaborate on emerging trends, challenges, and best practices within Local Government.
Gain insights, connect with other Councils, stakeholders, keynote speakers, and fellow attendees through presentations, panel discussions, and understanding of current trends, best practices, and emerging issues in your field.
The APA brings people together to share, encourage and learn in a safe inclusive environment.
The conference is excellently supported by a wide range of industry trades, offering a broad range of products and services that will be of great interest to our members and Councils.
We would encourage registrants who work in regulatory sections of Local Government including Parking Officers, Community Safety Officers, Development Compliance Officers, Regulatory support roles and associated leaders.
What else is happening?
The APA is excited to announce that on Wednesday the 7th of August 2024 leading into the 2024 Professional Development Conference, we have organised a tour of 3 animal facilities in South Australia to give Officers a glimpse into how different detention facilities operate. This tour includes the following places:
The newly built RSPCA Animal Care Campus
Joint facility for the Cities of Salisbury and Tea Tree Gully
72 Hour holding facility for the City of West Torrens
Spots are capped at 48 to keep numbers manageable, so please secure your spot asap via the event registration. A bus will collect those who have registered at 9.30am from the Grand entrance Glenelg and return late afternoon. More details will be provided to those who register prior to the tour.
There is a small cost of $50 per person to help cover transportation fees. Travelling by bus makes it easier to coordinate, plus allows better networking opportunities.
This should be a good day out of the office and a learning opportunity if you are looking to develop or upgrade an existing facility, as all toured locations are newly built.
